How often do you find yourselves watching something exciting, which presents a slice of life making you question your own existence and passions in life, that you failed to pursue just because you didn’t do what you could have? Haikyuu is something that made me question myself.

If there’s something that can tell us more about our true selves than anything else in this world, it is through sports. I played soccer for as long as I can remember so I was never fond of volleyball. It was some time ago that I stumbled upon this volleyball based sports anime…

How I saved more than half my salary each month

Photo by Alexander Mils on Unsplash

Savings can be extremely difficult.

When we start earning, we entitle ourselves to our deepest underlying cravings. And why not? Don’t we all deserve a treat after working so hard in the first place?

The answer is simply, yes.

We all deserve a reward. It’s the best way to stay healthy mentally and emotionally.

Then why save money in the first place?

Life is uncertain. As Yoshida Kenko quotes,

Life’s most precious gift is, uncertainty.

Yeah, we all know that.

While we were at the peak of our comforts, some guy at some random place you never even knew about ate a bat and look at us.

And Everything Else in Life

What is success? How do you define your success?

Success is merely the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

We have goals. We set them with so much optimism. Yet, it isn’t always the case when it comes to execution.

We wish to write articles that create an impact. We all want to be successful on Medium.

Let me remind you that the quality of your writing has nothing to do with Medium. You may write masterpieces that do not get enough recognition while someone may write on a simple topic that grabs people.

There are many factors that play…

One of The Best Adventure of My Life, That I Would Never Have Been a Part of

I was both excited and worried so much that I could not sleep at night. Exams were over. I was chilling at my home.

There were talks about a college tour, a trip…

Lessons from my best performing and least performing articles

Photo by Mathilde Langevin on Unsplash

This month I have published four articles. A travel story, a book summary, and two articles related to productivity. With some experiments, I learned some hacks that brought me more views and likes.

I have published 15 articles.

I received more claps and views this month than I had on any other months.

The articles I published this month are as follows:

1. Meet the Locals: A Series of Encounters That Have Changed Me

I am a travel enthusiast. This article is about the unique travel experiences that I had while traveling to Uttarakhand, India.

It was published in World Traveler’s Blog. This is my first article that was curated.

It is…

Increase your focus and enjoy everything you do

In the world of digital media, everything fights for your attention. It feels like waves of the sea, where you are bombarded with an overwhelmingly large amount of things.

We all have something that is common between each and every individual. Time.

“Lost time is never found again” — Benjamin Franklin

It is easy to get lost when there is so much going on. I wrote an article on an aspect of our productivity about why we keep switching tasks and how we lose our focus.

Being productive at any task we take on is the best thing you can…

The Japanese method of creating lasting changes.

What is Kaizen?

Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning “continuous improvement”. Find more about Kaizen here.

Kaizen was introduced by Toyota when it implemented quality in its production process. The term was coined by Masaki Imam who was a Japanese organizational theorist and a management consultant.

The main goal of Kaizen is to improve the production process. It is currently being used by many manufacturers and corporations.

How you can implement Kaizen in your life?

5. Bringing Massive Changes by Making Small Changes in Life

Kaizen helps form discipline by tricking the brain into slowly forming a habit. Doing something new is challenging but consistently doing something is extremely tough.

It requires forming habits…

The most important curve in this world that separates winners from losers

Photo by Fab Lentz on Unsplash

Yes, The Dip is the most important curve in the world. A curve that we all go through every time we face a challenge or try to learn something new.

I read the book called “The Dip” written by Seth Godin. You can find it on Amazon.

  • Have you ever quit something? Was it a good decision?
  • Do you return to your old state when you face a blockade while trying something new?
  • How marketers use your dip for their benefits?

We all have quit things once in…

Travel and India

How I made new friends and got cheated in the same week.

Nainital, Uttarakhand | Photo by Author

This is a story from 2015 when I was traveling across Uttarakhand, a state in India.

Uttarakhand is a beautiful place with amazing natural beauty. As India is a neighboring country of Nepal, I was able to travel via road directly.

Uttarakhand is famous for holy religious places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath temple, and Gangotri (the place where the holy river the Ganges started).

This is the place where Apple founder Steve Jobs and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg found inspiration. Here’s an article on Steve Jobs advising Mark Zuckerberg to visit an ashram during their early days.

The key mindsets that I learned from my first working year.

I started my journey as a Quality Assurance Engineer right after graduating from university. I went through a six-week internship program to finally get my first full-time contract.

Do you know what that means? It means I will be a part of the team that will build real software. I had a mock project experience (that’s what I like to call it), being involved in a project under a senior QA who guided me during my internship. It was tough, fun, and a comfortable experience until one day I was assigned to a real project.

Now I was no longer…
